Batgear Beyond was started in 1996 by Ann D. from Atlanta, GA. It started off as a very small site only visited by friends and word of mouth. Eventually, after the listings reached hundreds of quality clothing sites, and a more eye-pleasing redesign was applied, the site became very popular, reaching over 2,000 hits a day. The site was taken down by Ann in 2001 because she didn't have the time to upkeep it. But after being persuaded by friends and fans of the site, she decided to bring the site back. In May of 2007 Ann sold the site to Holiday Media, the publishers of Gothic Beauty. We want to continue Ann's work by building upon the site and keeping it as your ultimate online gothic fashion resource.
